Still in the early stages of planning, FBC Troy college ministry and the BCM are partnering together to head up a mission team to Clarkston, Houston, or North Carolina.
The Clarkston destination would be primarily working with refuge families, Refugees and internationals come to North America seeking security, opportunity and home. Often, they enter the country unable to speak, read or understand the language. They come with tremendous dreams, but their needs leave them vulnerable to manipulation and abuse. The nations have now become our neighbors, and our goal would be to share the gospel with our new neighbors. You can also help protect them and help them adapt through intentional support and genuine friendship.
If we decide Houston or North Carolina destination, we would be partnering with a responsive crisis ministry that would be construction oriented to serve those who have suffered great loss. Our goal would be to meet a need, build a relationship, and share the gospel.
The price of the trip has not been finalized but will range from $40 - $70
Our desire is to prepare college students to be sent to all parts of the state, country, and world with the complete understanding of a fully-functioning member of the Body of Christ. We strive to teach students to obey through discipleship, prepare them to minister through experience alongside other believers, and equip them to clearly communicate the Gospel to lost people everywhere. We encourage and equip college students to be active in this framework alongside other members and generations at First Baptist Church.
Let's do life together! Community Groups are small intimate gatherings designed for individuals to grow in their relationship with Christ by studying the Word
together and applying it rightly.
College Students meet together to sing and worship God on Wednesday nights bi-weekly at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary.
After worship, sometimes we gather in the FLC for coffee, snacks, and random events in our gym.
Go even deeper than community groups! We strongly encourage intentional discipleship. This is not another Bible study or class, but life-on-life training with a fellow believer to help each other imitate Christ and reproduce other obedient followers.
On Sunday Mornings at 9:15AM, college students are welcome to attend the Sunday School class in the Fellowship Hall. It is a class combined of college students, singles, and couples in their 20's.
Intergenerational Supper Club consist of four generations meeting together as a group in someone’s home to fellowship around a shared meal. This is a great opportunity to get connected with those from another generation.
If you have questions, contact Cat Lott, Mary Gibson, Geoffrey Spann, Andy Russell, Alex & Chance Shaver, Jason & Casey Browder or the church office.
