Regathering Plans for Sunday, June 14

Updated: Jun 25, 2020

We are looking forward to our first in-door in-person gathering this Sunday, June 14 at 10:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary. In an effort to make it a desirable and successful time together, we want to inform you with some things you need to know about how we are preparing for the day and what to expect when you arrive. We continue to pay attention to the most recent COVID-19 reports as well as the guidelines being issued by the CDC and other local health professionals. In light of this, we have taken steps to insure the church facility is a safe place to gather.

Measures taken…

  • We have removed the pew cushions due to the CDC recommendations and will be put back when the guidelines change. (Feel free to bring your own seat cushion if needed.)

  • Every other pew will be taped off.

  • Bibles, hymnals, pencils, pens, and offering envelopes removed from pews.

  • Additional hand sanitizer stations placed at entrances.

  • Ushers will assist with opening and closing entrance doors and with seating.

  • Preparations are being made for restrooms to be as hands-free as possible.

  • Resource bags prepared for children that can be picked up in the lobby upon entering.

  • There will be no greeting or fellowship time.

  • There will be no passing of the offering plates but will be placed at the doors as you exit.

What we’re asking of you…

  • Respect the social distancing recommendations and respect one another’s space.

  • Please avoid hand-shaking and hugging.

  • Arrive early to insure prompt and safe seating prior to the time of the service.

  • Households sit together six feet apart from people from other households.

  • Utilize the entrance closest to where you will sit and exit through the same door.

  • You are encouraged to bring extra hand sanitizer of your own.

  • Masks will be available at the entrances, but you are welcome to bring your own.

  • Children and their noise are welcome! Though resource bags have been prepared and will be available in the lobby, parents should maybe pack a small snack or any other items that would help keep their children engaged during the service.

  • Water fountains will not be available. We will have a few water bottles available, but feel free to bring one of your own if required.

At this time, there is NO Sunday School, student or college ministry activities, or children’s activities, children’s worship, or childcare. Our target date to resume all normal church activities will be Sunday, August 16. This will be the first day back to Sunday school classes church-wide, and also kick off all other regular weekly church activities.
