Covid-19 Safety Protocols

Dear First Baptist Church Troy Family,

As we are all aware, we are experiencing a resurgence of COVID in recent weeks, which is bringing heightened concerns. We will continue with our regular scheduled Sunday morning and Wednesday services at this time. However, we are making a few changes and asking you to consider a few protocols in order for us to do this as safely as we can. For Sunday mornings, our sanctuary will be arranged in an every other pew fashion. The Parlor adjacent to the sanctuary will be open for overflow seating. We are forgoing the observance of the Lord's Supper this Sunday and the ushers will be receiving the offering at the doors on the way out of the service. In addition, we are asking you to consider wearing a mask, practice social distancing, and avoid hand-shaking and hugging. On Wednesday evenings, the fellowship meal will be prepared and served by our kitchen crew, who are always gloved and masked. For all other age-group activities, we simply ask everyone to be mindful of the same suggested safety protocols as described above. Also, we WILL continue with the appreciation and send-off luncheon for Chris and Lindsay Strube and their family in the Activities Building following this Sunday's service. Of course, the same safety protocols apply and the luncheon will be prepared and served by our kitchen crew just like Wednesday nights. And so, we certainly hope you will attend, bring cards and gifts of encouragement to send them on their way, and express your gratitude and love to Chris and Lindsey and their family for their time and service here with us. Let us also pray that the Lord will protect us and move us through this period as safely and quickly as possible. God bless you and thank you for your cooperation! Dr. Ross Lankford Pastor, FBC Troy
